The meaning of colours: green

Green

The best colour during this time of year is definitely green due to two fundamental characteristics: its neutral state and its ability to transmit balance!

March is a month of rebirth and in order for us to thrive again, we must be able to take our time and our space. Therefore, green is the perfect colour to transmit the right amount of calm as well as the boost needed to regenerate since it is the most neutral colour of the visible spectrum.

From a psychological point of view, green has an effect on both the inner as well as relationship sphere. In fact, on a personal level it transmits calm and serenity along with a sense of regeneration that is well suited during this time of year. Interior renewal also comes with exterior rebirth. In fact, green also has beneficial effects on an interpersonal level because it opens us to others, thus, pushing us towards socialisation.

Colour therapy uses green as a detoxifier to heal the body. It consists of a steam bath surrounded by a green light that will instantly make us feel stronger and will also have positive consequences as an anti-stress.

Green is a useful ally against eye fatigue and some mild forms of migraines. This colour appears to have no side effects except that it is not very useful in depression cases. In these cases, revitalising shades are more appropriate.

Nature’s reawakening allows us fill our table with green seasonal fruits and vegetables (spinach, salad, asparagus, apples, kiwis). All of these extremely healthy foods allow us to enjoy the regenerative qualities of this gorgeous colour and all of its nuances even during meals!
